Spectrum auction concludes with total bids for Rs77,814.80 crore

The latest round of auction of radio spectrum concluded today with three bidders – Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea - bidding for a total of 855.60 MHz of the 2,308.80 MHz spectrum put to auction.
The 2,308.80 MHz spectrum put to auction included spectrum that is expiring by December 2021. Bids were received for855.60MHz of spectrum. This is about 60 per cent% of the spectrum put to auction, excluding spectrum in 700MHz and 2500MHz bands,.
Reliance Jio emerged the highest bidde securing 488.35 MHz of the spectrum worth Rs57,122.65 crore, the telecom ministry stated.
